Excellent value for a set-it-and-forget-it 200M Divers watch All my other divers are automatics, and through the process of rotating them out every day or two, they often run down. Wanted at least one relatively inexpensive battery-powered watch that still retained a good level of quality but didn’t skimp on the features. The good:-Actual 200M Divers watch; if you’r familiar with Seiko at all, you know that this designation means that these watches are actual, ISO-compliant diver watches, it’s not just a marketing term.-Great lume. As with most Seiko divers, the lume is excellent. Nicer still is that the lume paint color is white on this model as opposed to the more common greenish tint. (It of course still glows green.) The white contrasts nicely with the black dial for a fairly dress appearance.-Fit and finish are typical Seiko which is to say very good.-Bezel action is superb, not too tight, not too loose, but manages to feel both positive and smooth.-Screw down crown operates easily, does not…

Typical Seiko High Quality It’s nice to see Seiko getting into the solar market. Battery changing can be a hassle when you own as many watches as I do and can get to be expensive. My first impression of the watch when I picked it up was that the bracelet seemed a bit light and not as sturdy as the bracelet on other Seiko watches that I own. It is also not as wide as I like on a watch that has a 42-43mm case. It is a 20mm bracelet and I think a 22mm with a less “tinny” feel to it would have looked and felt much better. That is the only reason I rate it 4 stars instead of 5. Many might expect a heftier, bigger bracelet on a watch this size. The second thing I noticed was the incredibly beautiful black color of the dial. It’s sort of a black matte-sunray dial (if that makes any sense). I am a fan of pure black dials and this one is just beautiful. On other solar watches that I own, I can slightly see through the dial and into the solar panel but not on this one. It’s completely black…
