Here’s yer stein…. Since I live in a somewhat rural locale, ok, let’s get real—they are gearing up for the NASCAR race right this very minute, a mile up the road from my office and RV’s are parked in every available grassy spot and parking lot. Snobbery is looked down on, paradoxically, down here in what is the reddest-necked area north of the Mason Dixon Line. So these glasses seemed to be JUST the thing for entertaining around here.As you know, you need balloons for Bordeaux and Burgundies, smaller glasses for whites, flutes for Champagne and tulips for liqueurs. However, for Boone’s Farm, Mad Dog 20/20 and homemade elderberry, these are the correct glasses. They consist of a Mason jar perched perilously on top of a candle stick and glued with any old glue, in this case, probably Elmer’s because the stems pop off the jars pretty easily. Forget about the dishwasher, that’s just asking for trouble. Anyway, you already know you have to hand wash your fine crystal.The metal lid…
